When I first met Vanessa nearly 10 years ago, she was intimidating to this southern girl with her New Jersey accent (and competitiveness on the tennis court!). After getting to know her over the years, it has become apparent that she values friendship and enjoys building relationships . She has a genuine desire to build other women up. On the tennis court, she gives 110% and is a force to be reckoned with. Off the court, she is warm and welcoming to all she meets. She likes to encourage others to push themselves and use their gifts. She is an entrepreneur who has dabbled in several businesses and currently co-owns a successful fabric cleaning company. She is committed to raising her two sons to be strong, hard-working, kind men. I’m confident that she will continue to be a fine example of a graceful, strong woman for others to aspire to be! That is why Vanessa makes an excellent flyGIRL!
I’ve known Natasha for nearly 10 years. One of the first times I met her, she rode up to an elementary football game on her Harley. Upon dismounting her ride, she lit a cigarette, grabbed a beer from a cooler and almost immediately welcomed me with her warm smile (and tongue ring). Initially, I wasn’t sure what to make of this confident, jovial woman. I’d never met anyone like her. After being in her company more, I realized she is such a treasure! She has always been kind to me and my family, always including us in activities. She is a loving mother, wife and patriot. I’m extremely grateful to know this positive, self-assured woman. She’s a flyGIRL because she has faced some physical hardships, but has never failed to be an upbeat, unselfish, loyal friend. She is very good at stating her opinions without being abrasive. She hasn’t stopped dreaming or challenging herself with new ambitions and aspirations. I’m excited to see what her future holds and am pleased whenever I am in her presence.
